Super Moon Super Power
This morning, I woke for seemingly no reason just after 3am, after fidgeting restlessly for a few moments, I got up to find my son was also awake and had drawn his curtains to gaze out at the night sky, after reminding him it was the middle of the night, a quick snuggle and tucking him back up to go to sleep, with almost no thought as if I was compelled, I ventured down stairs and took a peak at the moon. It was big, beautiful and bright and seemed to be directly gazing at me. I smiled to myself as I was being reminded about the power of the full moons energy.
The first full moon following autumn equinox is known as the harvest full moon. This particular full moon will be larger ad brighter than average being the last super moon of 2023.
This moon is symbolic of new beginnings. Full moons are a powerful time of transformative energy. They tend to bring everything to its peak, providing us with the perfect opportunity to go within. This can result in negative habits instead of focusing on cultivating awareness and harnessing our powerful energy.
We may find ourselves engaging in arguments with loved ones or lashing out at peers and even strangers in an attempt to deflect this energy. We may attempt to dissociate from the energy altogether by overworking and obsessing or maybe are go to trait is avoidance and we engage in mind numbing activities like binge watching, scrolling, eating, drinking or substance abuse.
Whatever our vice there’s no escaping this particular energy, we can either become entrapped by it or harness it to free ourselves.
